Drypoint

Drypoint with Gary Goodman
We are pleased to offer a Friday morning class taught by international artist and poet, Gary Goodman. A great opportunity to learn the technique of Drypoint, incorporating the ancient practice of Chine Colle to produce colour and text. Without the use of acid, Drypoint uses a variety of sharp tools to score marks into the surface of a zinc plate. This produces a burr, which holds the ink. The plate is inked up on a hot plate and printed using either the Rochat or the electric etching press.

Materials – inks, cleaning materials, muslin, chine colle & glue are all included in the course fee.
Metal and paper are not included, these can be purchased from the studio.
Small class, maximum of 6 students.
